Program details and qualifications
- For the safety of all parties during this time, appliance recycling pick ups will be conducted through a No Contact process. With a no-contact pick up, the unit(s) will be collected from outside of your home (garage, patio, porch, etc.). In-home pick ups may be available upon request. Please call 866-552-6755 to request an in-home collection.
- You will receive a $50 reward for the first refrigerator or freezer recycled and $35 for the second (maximum of two total per year, per dwelling).
- Now offering free recycling of window air conditioning units or dehumidifiers with the pick up of a refrigerator or freezer!
- Must be coupled with a refrigerator or freezer. Must be in working condition. No monetary reward for dehumidifier or window air conditioning unit pick up.
- You must be a residential, retail customer of Minnesota Power (receive your electric bill from Minnesota Power).
- The electric refrigerator or freezer turned in must be 10-27 cu. ft.* and in working condition (cooling).
- The electric refrigerator or freezer must be owned by the customer and picked up from the residential address listed on the billing account. Please make sure someone at least 18 years old is present on day of pick up.
- No purchase necessary to participate in this offer.

* Miniature and commercially sized refrigerators and freezers do not qualify. Any freezer must be a standalone unit. Minnesota Power reserves the right to revise program requirements and incentive levels at any time. Rebates are subject to availability.
